KLIMAready Slam: Climate Meets Art

At Grüner Jäger Hamburg, sustainability met language, art and humour. Professional poetry slam performers brought key questions about climate action and social change to the stage in a sharp, thoughtful and relatable way.

When climate topics take the stage

The KLIMAready Slam did not centre on traditional expert presentations. Instead, the evening combined poetic craft, personal perspectives and engaging entertainment.

The performances showed how complex topics can become accessible and emotionally engaging without losing sight of their social significance.

The idea behind the evening
Sustainability is not only a matter of figures and measures. It also needs language, perspective and an approach that reaches people.

Applause, dialogue and an evening with a point of view

The audience of around 70 responded with enthusiastic applause and laughter. The combination of sharp texts, thoughtful moments and observations from everyday life made climate action tangible in a new way.

There was also plenty of opportunity for personal exchange. Over drinks and a vegan buffet, guests took time to deepen their impressions and talk to one another.

Seven clusters for a climate-resilient Hamburg

The slam was part of the KLIMAready project, in which seven Hamburg clusters work together to support companies with challenges related to climate action, climate adaptation and climate resilience.

Cultural perspectives complement knowledge and projects

The KLIMAready Knowledge Hub and focused projects – including work on energy sharing – already provide concrete information and practical resources.

The slam added a cultural perspective to this work. It showed that sustainability can create emotional access, connect people and spark new conversations.

Thank you

KLIMAready would like to thank all performers and guests for a successful evening.

The KLIMAready project is funded by the European Regional Development Fund and the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg.
