School Meets Finance in the Spotlight
From the classroom to television: our School Meets Finance project made it into NDR’s early-evening programme.
From the classroom to television
The programme “DAS! Rote Sofa” provided a vivid look at how students in Hamburg are introduced to financial and economic education.
Financial education becomes tangible when young people gain real-world insights and can ask their own questions.
Financial expertise directly in the classroom
With the aim of making economic relationships tangible and strengthening young people’s interest in financial topics, School Meets Finance brings experts from the financial sector directly into the classroom.
This creates practical insights that go far beyond what a traditional textbook can offer.
Making informed and independent decisions
School Meets Finance brings experts from the financial sector together with students. Topics include how the economic and financial system works, how to plan a budget, and the opportunities and risks associated with saving, investing, credit and debt management.
Regardless of their socio-cultural background, students should be empowered to make their own financial and economic decisions competently and independently.
Made possible together
Our thanks go to everyone whose commitment, openness and curiosity contributed to the success of the day – both in the classroom and in the media coverage.
Further information, possible topics and guidance for teachers and financial experts can be found on the project page.
