Fintech Hamburg in Copenhagen: FCH, Finanzplatz Hamburg and Hamburg Invest on the International Stage
At this year’s Nordic Fintech Week in Copenhagen, FCH joined forces with Finanzplatz Hamburg and Hamburg Invest under the Fintech Hamburg label. Together, they presented the start-up potential of Hamburg’s local cluster to an international audience.
Hamburg Connects with the Scandinavian Fintech Ecosystem
Finance City Hamburg, Finanzplatz Hamburg e.V. and Hamburg Invest travelled to Copenhagen as a joint delegation to deepen their exchange with the Danish and Scandinavian Fintech ecosystem. The aim of the trip was to raise Hamburg’s profile as an attractive location for start-ups, Fintechs and related organisations, expand international networks and initiate new partnerships.
Nordic Startup Challenge 2027
One concrete opportunity for Fintechs from the region is the Nordic Startup Challenge 2027. The format gives Fintechs, RegTechs and InsurTechs from various Northern European countries the opportunity to present their solutions in Hamburg. Through a pitch, participating companies gain access to established businesses, potential partners and other innovation drivers from the metropolitan region.

Hamburg Companies Showcase Technological Solutions
Hamburg-based companies Aurelytix, Nect and Virtune were also part of the trip. They demonstrated the technological solutions being developed in Hamburg’s financial sector and how these can connect with international markets and partnerships. The delegation highlighted how Hamburg combines a growing Fintech scene with strong networks spanning the financial sector, start-up support, academia and the public sector.
